Yang Cao University of Connecticut

Yang Cao is a professor at the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Institute of Materials Science. He received his PhD in Material Science from the University of Connecticut in 2002, his MS in Condensed Matter Physics from Tongji University in 1995, and his BS in Applied Physics from Tongji University in 19921. His research interests include high voltage engineering, flexible electronics, electroactive materials/devices, HVDC/MVDC grid protection, hardening and asset management. He is also the Site Director of NSF Center for Novel High Voltage/Temperature Materials and Structures (NSF HVT) and the Director of Electrical Insulation Research Center at the University of Connecticut
